“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.“
As we continue to develop the foundation of Garden City Church and strengthen teams in many areas, we have a few immediate needs and opportunities for you to get plugged in at Garden City.
Hospitality (Welcome & Parking)
From the moment guests pull into our parking lot, the hospitality team helps develop an atmosphere that is welcoming, joyful, peace-filled, and saturated in a spirit of excellence. This includes directing parking traffic, greeting and ushering as guests arrive, preparing and maintaining a clean and appropriate space and more.
Calling all creatives! If you are interested in our Creative Team and learning more about opportunities for you to get involved and use the gifts the Lord has given you for the glorification of His Kingdom, please fill out our interest form.
The vision for our Children’s & Family Ministry is to sow deep-rooted seeds (Matthew 13) and to see parents raised up and discipled to successfully disciple their children. Serving children ages 0-12 years old is a powerful, moving way to learn more about our Father’s heart.
Each week the Food Pantry team is meeting the needs of our community by leading the organization/coordination of our food pantry including the collection and dispersion of goods, praying over and preparing meals, as well as discipleship opportunities to our food pantry guests.
Sullivant Ave Outreach
Monday nights we host a meal resource site on Sullivant Ave, in partnership with Columbus Dream Center. We build relationships through walking down Sullivant Avenue outside of the Hope Resource Center (2596 Sullivant Ave. across from Burrough’s Elementary School). We provide meals, resources, prayer, have conversations with those experiencing homelessness or addiction and get to know families in the neighborhoods.
Wedgewood Prayer & Evangelism Walks – Jayne & Kabi Newala lead a prayer walk and evangelism every 2nd Saturday from 10am-11am. For location and meetup details, You can contact Jayne or Kabi at the following phone numbers: Jayne Newala (614) 625-8638, Kabi Newala (614) 679-4079.
