We want to share our mission\, vision and values with you\, bring you into how leadership and finances work\, help you discover your passions and how they can be used to serve and fulfill God’s plan for your life at Garden City.\n\nFoundations is for those who want to learn how to walk alongside new believers\, and to help new believers themselves develop a good foundation for a fruitful\, life-long relationship with Jesus.\n\nFoundations is a 2-part class\, and you must attend part 1 to attend part 2\, which will be on Nov 2nd.\n\nLunches:\n\nLunch will be provided at 12:30pm in the church conference room for Get Rooted.\nLunch will be provided at 12:30pm in the Eden Center for those only attending the Foundations Class\, which will start at 1:30pm in the church conference room.\n\nIf you want to leave and get lunch on your own and come back to the foundations class at 1:30pm\, that is an option as well. \nPlease check the box below to let us know if you plan stay for lunch\, and if you plan to attend both sessions or just one. DESCRIPTION:Rosh Hashanah – Sept. 22nd-24th 2025\nYom Kippur – October 1st-2nd\, 2025\nFeast of Tabernacles – Oct. 6th-Oct. 13th\, 2025 \n– \nRosh Hashanah Sept. 22nd-24th\, 2025 means The Head of the Year (Ezekiel 40:1) This will be the year 5785 according to the Jewish calendar!\nRosh Hashanah is also referred to as the Feast of Trumpets.\nLeviticus 23:23-25 “Speak to the children of Israel\, saying: ‘In the seventh month\, on the first day of the month\, you shall have a sabbath-rest\, a memorial of blowing of trumpets\, a holy convocation”\, also see Numbers 29:1-6.  \n– \nYom Kippur October 1st-2nd\, 2025 means the Day of Atonement or Forgiveness (Lev. 23:26-32)\nMost Jews believe that the first Day of Atonement was when Moses sought forgiveness on behalf of Israel after the people worshiped a golden calf as Moses was receiving the ten commandments (Exodus 31:18). In Exodus 32:30 The next day Moses said to the people\, “You have committed a great sin. Now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.” \n– \nThe Feast of Tabernacles Oct. 6th-Oct. 13th\, 2025 is called Sukkot in Hebrew\, which means booths. The Feast is also called the Feast of Harvest/Ingathering as it takes place after the fall harvest (Exodus 23:16/Leviticus 23:39). Ministry to the Lord\, communion with the Lord\, being with Him is our greatest pursuit.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, Sept. 20th – Leader and Volunteer appreciation dinner – REGISTRATION CLOSED\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSunday\, Sept. 21st – Every year we take time to give thanks for all of the impact of the year and cast vision for the upcoming year. What the Lord has done in 2025 has blown us away and we can’t wait for 2026 as we continue to cultivate our city and beyond for His Kingdom. Join us Sunday morning at 9am and 11am as we celebrate our 5th birthday! We are excited and honored to be joined by Aiva Jenkins\, Storyteller and Worship Leader\, as well as JT Thomas\, founder of Civil Righteousness based out of Ferguson\, Missouri. Be sure to bring a towel and a change of clothes! \nWe believe in leading our youth to live with Godly purpose\, and passionately walk out their calling through intentional discipleship that fosters deep biblical understanding\, and nurtures holistic growth in their faith and character. \nOur Garden City Youth meets on 2nd Sundays at 11am in the sanctuary. \nWe encourage all of our youth to sit together in the sanctuary\, alongside our Youth leaders.
