Volunteer Opportunities – December 16th & 17th

Our hope this Christmas season is to invest in the lives of the families we serve through prayer and relationship, while also meeting some of their tangible needs. This event is a perfect opportunity to advance God’s Kingdom in Columbus. Please partner with the Garden City Food Pantry as we follow God’s heart for the orphans, widows and distressed (James 1:27) and share his love with those around us.

Now through November 28th, Garden City Food & Clothing Pantry is collecting donations for our Christmas Joy Event. Additionally, we need volunteers to assist with setup on December 16th and to help host and run the event on December 17th.

Donations:

Donations are needed by Sunday, November 27th. Donations can be dropped off at Garden City’s clothing closet at your convenience. The clothing closet is found up the steps, down the hall, last door on the left. Below is a list of items needed:

• Gifts – Gently used or new unwrapped toys predominantly ages 6-17 (MOST NEEDED)
• Gloves, hats, scarves, coats
• Table Clothes
• Plates
• Cups
• Gift bags
• Name stickers
• Party Sacks (Bike bags)
• Tissue Paper
• Boxes (misc sizes)
• Kroger Gift Cards for Raffle
• Food for the event – Fruit tray, cookies, cases of bottled water and pizza for volunteers

Volunteering:

Friday, December 16th – Set-up, time slots available all day

Saturday, December 17th – “Christmas Joy” Event, 11:30am-5:30pm
